Police Grant

Proceeding contribution from Lord Jackson of Peterborough (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 22 February 2017. It occurred during Debate on Police Grant.

My right hon. Friend is making a cogent case, as he usually does. I encourage him to proceed in the way in which he has

outlined because my local constabulary, Cambridgeshire, is working on things such as firearms, forensics, dogs and homicide, and it has become much more efficient. For example, the tragic Joanna Dennehy murders of two or three years ago would not have been solved as expeditiously as they were without cross-county collaboration between several police forces.
