Badger Cull

Proceeding contribution from Angela C Smith (Labour) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 13 March 2014. It occurred during Backbench debate on Badger Cull.

I thank my hon. Friend for giving way. I was named in the previous speech, but the hon. Member for Brecon and Radnorshire (Roger Williams) would not give way to me. He said in his speech that targets had been set for the randomised badger culling

trial. Can my hon. Friend confirm that such targets were not set for the RBCT, and that the trials were in fact designed to establish what targets would be necessary for culling to be effective?
