Common Agricultural Policy

Proceeding contribution from Huw Irranca-Davies (Labour) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 1 November 2012. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Common Agricultural Policy.

I get the hon. Lady’s point. What we need clarity on—I understand if the Minister cannot give it today—is where the cut-off point is and at what point in the process it occurs. We need that clarity so that we and the Minister can encourage farmers to keep signing up for existing schemes without fear that they will lose out.
