Common Agricultural Policy

Proceeding contribution from George Eustice (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 1 November 2012. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Common Agricultural Policy.

It might be, if we get to that point, but I do not want to be distracted by that now.

There is potential and it is not unrealistic, because it is the current direction of the common fisheries policy. The Commission, under Commissioner Damanaki, is buying into ideas that will effectively lead to a partial repatriation—of sorts—of the management of individual waters and fisheries to only those groups of countries that share that fishing water. It is a sensible plan.
