Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill. Motion to widen the scope of the Bill at Report stage. Agreed to on question. Ordered that, notwithstanding that such provisions could not have been proposed in Committee without an Instruction from the House, amendments may be proposed on Consideration of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill to— (a) provide for measures against the payment or receipt of referral fees in connection with the provision of legal services, (b) create a new offence relating to squatting, and (c) amend section 76 of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008 (reasonable force for purposes of self-defence etc).
