My Lords, I know that my noble friend was extremely grateful for the letter from the noble Earl, Lord Howe, on this matter. Communication is fundamental and screening is critical. We know that early intervention is effective. I am disappointed that the Minister did not confirm whether there would be a halt to the reduction of speech and language therapists. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment 26A withdrawn.
