Welfare Reform Bill

Proceeding contribution from Lord Freud (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Thursday, 13 October 2011. It occurred during Debate on bills and Committee proceeding on Welfare Reform Bill.
The support is time-limited for two years, so we have it within universal credit, albeit with these rules. It is not question of indefinite support at working age. There are groups of people who receive indefinite support: disabled people and pensioners—pensioners are in any case outside universal credit.
