Yes. We were reassured earlier by the Minister that any kind of sanction regime would apply only once children joined school at the age of five. This linear move into work is an important aspect here—it is probably even more important for parents than for any other group in society—so I am pleased to see that it would be possible under the Secretary of State's proposals. I am also pleased that the £2 billion which has been mentioned will still be in place to provide support for families making that transition into work.
