Scotland Bill

Proceeding contribution from Michael Moore (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 27 January 2011. It occurred during Debate on bills on Scotland Bill.
The hon. Gentleman is usually fair, and I should hate him to miss the opportunity to be fair on this occasion. [Interruption.] Okay, I am being generous. What I was doing was correcting the hon. Gentleman's colleague in the Scottish Parliament, who had suggested that the figure could be £700 million. Again, it would depend on where the line in the sand was drawn. Conveniently, in this instance the line was drawn in 2010-11. When we roll forward to 2014-15, we arrive at a £400 million surplus rather than the nonsense of the £8 billion that the hon. Gentleman is talking about.
