Child Poverty Bill

My Lords, I am sorry that my little amendment has not found more favour with the Grand Committee. It was not suggesting that Parliament should decide the strategy, only that the Secretary of State should take account of it. That form of words has been used before in legislation, which is where I found it. I think that the question of accountability is important, but, having raised the matter, I will think about whether I can do anything more on Report. In the mean time, I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment 59 withdrawn. Clause 13 agreed.
