Coroners and Justice Bill

Proceeding contribution from Claire Ward (Labour) in the House of Commons on Monday, 9 November 2009. It occurred during Debate on bills on Coroners and Justice Bill.
Perhaps I can refer to page 65 of the Law Commission report. It states:""In Smith (Morgan), Lord Hoffmann, agreeing with the decision, said:""Male possessiveness and jealousy should not today be an acceptable reason for loss of self-control leading to homicide, whether inflicted upon the woman herself or her new lover."" That, I think, provides some support across a number of areas.
