Coroners and Justice Bill

Proceeding contribution from Lord Tunnicliffe (Labour) in the House of Lords on Monday, 26 October 2009. It occurred during Debate on bills on Coroners and Justice Bill.
My Lords, I remind noble Lords of the statement in the Companion on the interruption of speeches. At paragraph 4.37, it says: ""A member of the House who is speaking may be interrupted with a brief question for clarification … Lengthy or frequent interventions should not be made, even with the consent of the member speaking"." I hope that noble Lords will reflect on that before we have more interruptions that are neither brief nor clearly just for clarification.
