While we are entertaining ourselves with the misfortunes of our prospective opponents' parties, may I invite the right hon. Gentleman to enter a wager with me? I would bet that by Christmas the leader of his party will gracefully have to give in to the demands of his MEPs to rescind the rather foolish decision to leave the EPP.
