The Conservative party is suggesting that, if the treaty were ratified, functioning and operational, and there were a change of Government in this country in two years’ time—[Hon. Members: ““Hear, hear.””] They say ““Hear, hear””, but they would disrupt the workings of 27 member states and effectively terminate Britain’s constructive engagement in Europe.
