On the Irish economy, my right hon. Friend might not have been here when I made the point that there is an excellent book by Mr. Roy Foster called ““Luck and the Irish”” demonstrating that the money put in by the European Union has been less effective in increasing Ireland's prosperity than American money and tax reductions.
