In some ways, I agree with the hon. Gentleman. Indeed, if one looks further north—latitude may have something to do with it—Norway and Iceland spend more money per capita supporting their own agriculture to ensure a secure food supply than do EU members. A secure food supply is not dependent on the existence of the CAP.
