Greater London Authority Bill

The hon. Gentleman has spoken with a great deal of common sense in this debate, although we were on opposite sides about the Mayor's accountability for the budget. He has shown great attention to detail on the Bill, so will he tell the House whether he was overlooked as a candidate for Mayor or whether he was rejected in the selection process?
