Identity Cards Bill

My Lords, with respect, I will not give way. I listened to the noble Lord in peace. He should subside for a time. I cannot imagine that the Conservatives, when they were in government, would conceivably have accepted a doctrine which in essence gives this House a veto over the decisions of the other House. It is not on. However you look at it, this House is nominated; this House is not elected; that House is elected.
