Compensation Bill [HL]

The implication of what I said is that if we look at our deliberations in Committee and at what I have committed to do—that I want the Bill to go into and emerge from the Report stage with all those commitments added and for it then to emerge as closely as possible to the framework I have set out—that that will address all the concerns expressed by the Committee on Delegated Powers and Regulatory Reform. There is no difference between the noble Lord and I on the point. I apologise if I did not make it clear. It is my ambition to do that and, as I indicated at Second Reading, we take very seriously and have considered in detail all the issues that have been raised by the Delegated Powers Committee and we will address them appropriately. I have done that on every Bill that I have taken through your Lordships’ House.
