““UNCLAIMED COMMON LAND
The relevant local authority or the relevant commons association may apply to the appropriate national authority to manage any common land where grazing rights are unclaimed.””
The noble Lord said: The amendment is straightforward and I shall not detain the Committee. It is a tidying-up measure. Common land that is unclaimed can sometimes become more or less abandoned, which is undesirable. There seem to us to be appropriate authorities and associations who might be given that responsibility. I beg to move.
