moved Amendment No. 106:"Page 31, line 19, leave out ““during”” and insert ““throughout””" The noble Baroness said: At the end of yesterday’s sitting, I had unfortunately to go downstairs and I know that the Committee sat for a little longer than originally planned. I understand from the Minister that Amendment No. 106 is receiving some kind thought from the Government. Therefore, I propose not to go through all my notes on this amendment but simply to say that the Minister knows that there have been a number of cases—in Sunderland, the London Borough of Richmond, and Oxfordshire, among other places—where local councils, acting in accordance with the declared wish of the Government that they should realise assets in order to invest in the future, have been prevented from making a sale because campaigners have had ground registered as a village green. There is more to it than that, but since the Minister is inclined to consider this favourably I shall simply move the amendment. I beg to move.
