Council Tax (New Valuation Lists for England) Bill

Absolutely, and the longer that this debate continues, the more inclined I am to agree. The fact is that this Bill potentially creates great inequalities between the constituent parts of the United Kingdom. The Government could, if they wished, intervene, with the assistance of their colleagues in the Assembly, to ensure that revaluation in Wales is reversed. But that will not happen. Wales will continue to pay more. If this Bill is enacted, let the Government remember that for their own political advantage, they have saved the skin of English council tax payers and let Welsh ones twist in the wind.
