Equality Bill [HL]

The noble Baroness is   correct in relation to ordinary orders, but my experience from the Dispatch Box is that where there is a level of sensitivity—and this is such an area—the House is astute at highlighting those orders in which the House has a genuine interest. Due to the interest expressed in this House, this is an area where I, on behalf of the Government, anticipate the most rigorous scrutiny. We will bear that factor in mind before we bring it back. I reassure the noble Baroness that this is not an order that is likely to go by without proper notice. It will be the first time if it does.
