49: After Clause 3, insert the following new Clause—
“Separation of retail and wholesale activities
Any company granted a water supply licence under section 17A of the Water Industry Act 1991, prior to the passing of this Act, must establish separate legal identities for its—
(a) retail activities, and
(b) wholesale activities,
within one year of the passing of this Act.”
