Question

To ask Her Majesty’s Government, further to the Written Answers by Lord Marland on 19 November (WA 311–2) and 5 December 2012 (WA 158–9), to what extent they consider that differential segregation of abnormal versus normal mitochondria through a bottleneck during oogenesis may contribute to the pathology of mitochondrial disease in offspring, and whether different tissues are known to be particularly susceptible to mitochondrial disease.
