National Insurance Contributions (Reduction in Rates) Bill

I thank the Minister, and the Government, for what they are bringing forward. The cut in national insurance in the autumn statement is a welcome step, and my constituents tell me that. Unfortunately, many are also saying that the average working-class family, including many in my constituency, will still be facing the highest taxation levels. I am not being churlish, not for one second—I want to make that

clear—but can the Minister encourage me and my constituents that there is more to offer from the autumn statement and that those people have more to gain?
