To back up my hon. Friend’s argument, the farming community and businesses across the whole of Northern Ireland have expressed their great concern about the different levels of state aid. They are not only referring to food, because subsidy comes in many forms. My constituents tell me that they are also concerned about being precluded from the tax reliefs available on
the mainland, because potentially our competitive ability may be greatly hampered by that discrepancy. Does my hon. Friend agree?
