Education Funding

Proceeding contribution from Louise Haigh (Labour) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 3 September 2019. It occurred during Ministerial statement on Education Funding.

Some of the consequences of the chronic underfunding of special educational needs have been a huge rise in the number of exclusions and an increase in the number of parents

forced to home-educate their children because they cannot find school places for them. What measures will the Secretary of State attach to this funding to ensure that there are enough specialist places and enough support in mainstream education to keep children with special educational needs in schools?
