UK’s Withdrawal from the EU

Proceeding contribution from Dominic Grieve (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 27 February 2019. It occurred during Debate on UK’s Withdrawal from the EU.

I am sorry to bang on about this, but we are a rule-of-law state and it is an unlawful question to put. If a Government choose to put no deal on a

referendum ballot paper, they are in effect saying that they will not respect and have decided as a matter of a policy not to observe their international obligations.
