University Vice-Chancellors: Pay

Proceeding contribution from David Drew (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 11 October 2017. It occurred during Adjournment debate on University Vice-Chancellors: Pay.

I was happy to join the hon. Gentleman in resigning from the University of Bath’s court. I never quite understood why I was on the court. I resigned in a previous incarnation, so it was only right and proper that I resigned on this occasion. Does he agree that one problem with university vice-chancellors is that they have other ways in which to supplement their income, such as where they live and their expenses, and that information should be in the public domain? The University of Bath was very hesitant to share that information.
