Finance Bill

Proceeding contribution from Lord Mackinlay of Richborough (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 12 September 2017. It occurred during Debate on bills on Finance Bill.

I declare an interest: I am a practising chartered accountant, when I have the time. My right hon. Friend said that lower rates can produce more revenue.

Is that not exactly what has happened since 2010 with our reduction in corporation tax rates, which is paying the dividend of a greater return for the Treasury?
