Neighbourhood Planning Bill

Proceeding contribution from Sajid Javid (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Monday, 10 October 2016. It occurred during Debate on bills on Neighbourhood Planning Bill.

The hon. Gentleman may be aware that for a neighbourhood plan to become effective it needs to be adopted. It will be looked at by the inspector and

a local referendum will be held. As I mentioned earlier, some 240 plans have gone through that process and, when that happens, they need to be given due weight in the consideration of planning decisions.
