Welfare Reform and Work Bill

Proceeding contribution from Alison McGovern (Labour) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 23 February 2016. It occurred during Debate on bills on Welfare Reform and Work Bill.

Friend is giving a characteristically calm, evidence-based explanation of why money matters, so does she agree that it is disappointing continually to hear the myth from the Government Benches that educational attainment or poor health is what causes poverty, rather than poverty that causes those things?
