Finance Bill

Proceeding contribution from Maria Caulfield (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 21 July 2015. It occurred during Debate on bills on Finance Bill.

I disagree. By 2020, the living wage will be £9, because that is the level at which we have set it. For the lowest-paid workers in the country, that has

to be a huge advantage. I cannot believe that Opposition Members are actually disagreeing with a proposal to increase the wages of the lowest earners.
