Inward Investment (Wales)

Proceeding contribution from Stephen Crabb (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 29 November 2012. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Inward Investment (Wales).

The hon. Gentleman is wrong to suggest that there is any link between Tata’s sad announcement of job losses in Wales last week and its concerns about energy prices. Companies that are intensive energy users, such as Tata, face a real issue. The Government

are looking at it, and we have made £250 million available to help intensive energy users. Tata’s announcement last week had everything to do with changes in international steel markets globally and nothing to do with what he is saying about the challenge of green energy.
