Finance Bill

Proceeding contribution from Gloria De Piero (Labour) in the House of Commons on Monday, 2 July 2012. It occurred during Debate on bills on Finance Bill.

The hon. Gentleman is speaking as though his party had always supported the abolition of the 50p tax. However, a couple of months before the Budget, the former Energy Secretary,

the right hon. Member for Eastleigh (Chris Huhne), was saying that the 50p tax was here to stay. He told the BBC:

“I think we’ve won that argument.”
