Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to paragraphs 3, 12 and 23 of the Integrated Review Refresh, CP811, published in March 2023, when his Department plans to achieve the aspiration of investing 2.5% of GDP in defence.

Answer

The Government has set its aspiration for defence spending to reach 2.5% of GDP as soon as fiscal and economic circumstances allow.
