To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to Figure 8 of the NAO report Optimising the Defence Estate, HC293, published on 11 June 2021, what targets his Department has for releasing land for housebuilding in England.
Answer
The Department has no target for releasing land for housing. MOD sites are sold when they are surplus to military requirements, not to release land for housebuilding.
