Question

To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Minister for the Cabinet Office, when he plans to provide a substantive answer to Question 286314, tabled on 3 September 2019 by the hon. Member for Ilford North.

Answer

Our chemicals sector is world leading, and we want to make sure it continues to succeed. At the same time, the UK is committed to the effective and safe management of chemicals. That will not change when we leave the EU.

We have published guidance on this topic online: ‘The chemicals sector and preparing for Brexit’ (available at www.gov.uk/guidance/the-chemicals-sector-and-preparing-for-eu-exit).
