Immunology is a branch of medicine and the biological sciences that focuses on the function of the immune system – the body’s defence system against infection and disease. Immunological research can improve our understanding of how to treat, prevent, and respond to certain health issues, including Covid-19. The subject for debate has been determined by the Backbench Business Committee and the debate will be opened by Jim Shannon MP.
