Draft Defamation Bill (Joint Committee)

Resolved that this House concurs with the Lords Message of 23 March, that it is expedient that a Joint Committee of Lords and Commons be appointed to consider the draft Defamation Bill presented to both Houses on 15 March (Cm 8020). Ordered, That a Select Committee of six Members be appointed to join with the Committee appointed by the Lords to consider the draft Defamation Bill (Cm 8020) and that the Committee should report on the draft Bill by Tuesday 19 July 2011.
