Identity Documents Bill

Debate on bills on Tuesday, 14 December 2010, in the House of Commons, led by Speaker.
Identity Documents Bill. Consideration of Lords amendment. I must draw the House's attention to the fact that financial privilege is involved in the Lords amendment. Having given careful consideration to the amendment, Mr Speaker is satisfied that it would impose a charge on the public revenue that is not authorised by a resolution of this House. The amendment is therefore deemed to be disagreed to, and is not available for debate, in accordance with Standing Order No. 78(3). Committee appointed to draw up Reasons to be assigned to the Lords for disagreeing to their amendment.
