Health and Social Care Bill (Programme) (No. 4)

Proceeding contribution from Grahame Morris (Labour) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 20 March 2012. It occurred during Debate on bills on Health and Social Care Bill.
I wish to seek a point of clarification on the Minister's reference to what Earl Howe said about the Bill providing"““insulation against inappropriate application of competition law””.—[Official Report, House of Lords, 6 March 2012; Vol. 735, c. 1689-90.]" Concerns were raised in the Minister's own party about American-style private health care interests being able to use these mechanisms to provide health care services. Will he give an example of how this ““insulation”” would protect an NHS trust from being taken over by a north American private health care company?
