The Economy

The Chancellor likes to hear himself, but I do not see him often when others are speaking. We are entitled to be extremely worried given that over the past three months unemployment has reached its highest level in 17 years. There are now more women unemployed than at any time since 1988. All of this is a consequence of this Government's austerity measures—and what improvement has there been as a result of the hardship?
