Localism Bill

Proceeding contribution from Lord Jenkin of Roding (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Monday, 31 October 2011. It occurred during Debate on bills on Localism Bill.
My Lords, of course, I am very grateful indeed to my noble friends for having, at this late stage, agreed these amendments. I cannot do better than quote a note I received only this morning from London Councils. It states that this is a notable change in the Bill and one that borough councils will very much welcome in years to come. I would endorse that very warmly. I thank my noble friends. Amendment 61 agreed. Clause 201 : Functions in relation to Town and Country Planning Amendments 62 and 63 Moved by
