Dog Control Bill [HL]

Proceeding contribution from Lord Redesdale (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 26 October 2011. It occurred during Debate on bills on Dog Control Bill [HL].
My Lords, I thank the Minister for that response. This is not the first time that I have brought this Bill before Parliament. Obviously, I brought it while the Opposition were the Government and I did not get a great deal of satisfaction at that point. I thank the Minister for his reply. Perhaps I may also thank the very large number of people who are incredibly committed to making sure that we have a safer environment, including those people working with the dog-owning community, police officers and, especially, organisations such as the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home which have to deal with this growing problem. I very much hope that, in going to the House of Commons, this Bill will get a fair wind. I beg to move. Bill passed and sent to the Commons.
