I refer to our then party leader. The noble Lord, Lord Beecham, is probably too young to remember such an occasion in the 1970s. I must get back to the point. The amendment relates to the threshold, and I am grateful that, in the end, the Minister paid some attention to it, because no one else has done so throughout the entire debate. Therefore, I have very little to reply to, except to say that we shall be returning to the issue of thresholds for referendums and so on at a later stage.
