Fixed-term Parliaments Bill

My Lords, if the House will bear with me, I shall find the quote from the Liberal Democrat manifesto of last year. It states: "““Introduce fixed-term parliaments to ensure that the Prime Minister of the day cannot change the date of the election to suit themselves””." As my noble friend Lord Rennard indicated, there is not a reference to four years. However, in the past the party has supported—
