Dog Control Bill [HL]

My Lords, Amendment 17 repeals the Dangerous Dogs Act 1989. The Act amends the Dogs Act 1871, which is already repealed under my Bill. This is an important measure because it tidies up pieces of legislation. From the Government’s point of view, we are not introducing an additional piece of legislation; we are introducing one but repealing three. That is totally in line with the purpose of the ““one in, one out”” rule. I beg to move. Amendment 17 agreed. Clause 12, as amended, agreed.
