Fuel Costs

I will not give way at the moment. Many of my constituents have to travel to work, and they have no alternative to their car. There are bus services, but if we look at how people work today—many work split shifts and might have one or two jobs to make ends meet—we see that it is very difficult for them to get to their work places by bus. This places a great deal of pressure on family budgets. If we are talking about creating work and getting people back into it, we must make it easier for people to travel.
